Details The coin is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Georg Henrik von Wright.

Georg Henrik von Wright was a Finnish philosopher, who succeeded Ludwig Wittgenstein as professor at the University of Cambridge. He published in English, Finnish, German, and Swedish, having belonged to the Swedish-speaking minority of Finland. Von Wright was of both Finnish and 17th-century Scottish ancestry.

The design work of Nora Tapper includes the shaft of an ancient Doric column and an oak branch to the left. The legend "HENRIK VON WRIGHT GEORG" appears in a semi-circle from left to right and the year of issue "2016" appears top right.
