The new bimetallic coin commemorates the 100 years since the independence of the Baltic states and is commonly issued with Latvia and Lithuania. The three coins have the same design, with the difference of the name of the issuing country.
The three Baltic States are represented symbolically by a braid. They are united by their history: a shared past, present and future. A stylized figure represents the 100th anniversary, together with the shields of the three Baltic States. On the left is the name of the issuing country, "EESTI" (Estonia), "LATVIJA" (Latvia) and "LIETUVA" (Lithuania), on the right, the
year of issue, "2018". |
