Krause - Mishler
The cork oak (Quercus Suber) is the most valuable resource of Portuguese forests. The tree forms a thick, rugged and corky bark, which develops considerable thickness and can be harvested every 10 to 12 years as cork.
The coin also features the Portuguese coat of arms, the word ‘POR TU GAL’ written on three lines and the legend ‘2007 PRESIDÊNCIA DO CONSELHO DA UE’ inscribed in a semicircle along the bottom.
