It aims to draw the attention of people in Europe to the importance of dialogue within diversity and between diverse cultures. The coin depicts the Earth's horizon, with stylised images of 5 people with their arms around each other - representing the different cultures of the 5 continents. In front of them are 4 Holy books recognised by those living in European communities. The coin is presented in a brightly coloured informational card. Issue date: April 2008
