- January 10, 2008 - First update for the new year and let first welcome Malta into the Eurozone. Obviously, I had to build a webpage about the Maltese euros and so I did.
- December 28, 2007 - Merry Christmas everybody, and a Happy New Year! I just came back from holidays and continued my User Control Panel work. It should be 98% ready by now, although bugs and omissions are bound to exist. I implemented a single sign-on system, where a signle registration will create every account for the services this site provide (the Coin Collectors Database, the Coin Vault, the Coin Forum etc).
- December 20, 2007 - I uploaded 2 more wallpapers.
- December 19, 2007 - I decided to hide all email addresses in the Coin Collectors Database, in order to protect them from spammers. Moreover, I added a few more optional fields in the registration form, in order to collect better statistics.
- December 18, 2007 - I updated the article about the Vatican Coinage.
- December 18, 2007 - I updated the article about the Cyprus Coinage.
- December 06, 2007 - A series of new articles about the european banknotes is now online. It is not finished yet, but only a few changes remain.
- December 05, 2007 - Cyprus is joining the eurozone and thus a new article about the Cypriot euro coins had to be written. Of course I will have to do the same for Malta pretty soon.
- December 04, 2007 - I rewrote the links section and added new infromation in the User Control Panel.
- November 28, 2007 - I just finished and published the new User Control Panel where you can login and administer your account. The main page is not finished yet, as I plan to include a number of innovations.
- November 22, 2007 - When will I learn not to use the same development and production environment. As a software engineer I always do this at work, but I somehow fail to do the same at home. Anyway, the site is again 95% functional and in the following days it will be 100% ok.
- November 12, 2007 - I updated the Forum and completely redesigned it to match the rest of the site.
- November 8, 2007 - I completely rewrote everything that had to do with exchanging coins and introduced a (hopefully very useful) new service. Coin collectors can now evaluate each other after an exchange, so that we can establish a circle of trust between us!!!
- November 6, 2007 - I totally and completely rewrote the checkout procedure for the coin shop. I hope that is is now easier, faster and overall better!
- October 29, 2007 - I built 4 more webpages, with the most popular numismatic items (euros, drachmas and sets) available in the coin shop. The pages are dynamic and the popularity is measured by how many times a visitor of the site has placed each item in the shopping cart.
- October 26, 2007 - I completely rewrote the Spanish Euro coins article and in 1 or 2 days I will be adding all the circulation coins there. I also updated the webpage about the Spanish Mint.

- October 22, 2007 - I uploaded a new article about error coins, but it is not finished yet. Far from it.
- September 30, 2007 - How nice, I just found out that a complete directory of the site is missing, but also I discovered a few 'mistakes' that cause some 5-10 webpages to become unavailable aaargh! Almost everything is fixed now.
- September 29, 2007 - I uploaded a new article about the Italian mint and I completely rewrote the article about the Italian Euro Coins.
- September 22, 2007 - I updated the pictures of several banknotes and added 3 more banknotes to my coin shop (which can also be used not only for purchases, but also to find out the specifications of coins and banknotes. I also added 4 more 10 euros 2007 commemorative coins that Greece issued.
- September 4, 2007 - There has been a major change in the site, but it is not obvious to the readers. I rearranged the physical location of the files, something that has not impact on the visitors but will help me alot with the site maintenance. As always, the bugs will be sorted out as soon as possible.
- August 29, 2007 - I included two more interesting coin facts about the US currency. They are about the origin of the word dime and the quarter dollar which is also reffered to as two bits.
- August 28, 2007 - One month has passed by without an update, but that is only because I maintain 2 more sites and I decided to completely redesign one of them. Today I uploaded a new article about The Netherlands and I completely rewrote the article about the Dutch Euro Coins. The latter is not finished yet, as I will be adding all the coins of the country in a few days.
- July 26, 2007 - I uplooaded a new web page about Germany and a few words about the history of the country's currency.
- July 24, 2007 - I updated the article about the Euro banknote security features.
- July 13, 2007 - Today it is Friday the 13th today, but I really do not believe in superstitions. Even if I did, in Greece the unlucky date is Tuesday the 13th. This derives from the day Constantinople fell, which was Tuesday, April 13, 1204. Notice that the date refers to Constantinople getting sacked by the soldiers of the Fourth Crusade and not the Ottoman empire! However, even the date of the second fall (on May 29, 1453) is again a Tuesday. It seems this country holds millenium old grudges. Since the movie 300 debuted quite recently, let me remind you that Ephialtes betrayed the Greeks at Thermopylae. For this act, his name received a lasting stigma coming to mean "nightmare" in modern Greek!
Today I gave away a Greek 2005 Blister to Christos V. from Greece. He warned me that a webpage
was not working correctly and I though I should make it up to him with a small gift. In the past I used to send
out gifts more often, and maybe it is time to pick up where I left off.
- July 09, 2007 - A new, small article about Finland and the Mint of France, along with an update for the Euro coins of France.
- July 06, 2007 - A new, small article about Finland and the Mint of Finland, along with an update for the Euro coins of Finland.
- July 03, 2007 - I have undertaken a HUGE task of updating all the webpages about the euro coins. New information and high-quality images are added every day. I have started with the Austrian and Belgian euro coin webpages.
- June 29, 2007 - When will I learn to make changes to my code when I make changes to my database? Anyway, after a few hours all the new bugs were detected and eliminated. All? Well... all that I could find ;-)
- June 28, 2007 - I implemented a new navigation system for the Euro Coin Shop, which is much faster and good looking. I will have to duplicate this navigation system to quite a few other pages as well.
- June 27, 2007 - I have made HUGE changes to the database, a change that is not yet apparent. However, in a few days I will be updating the webpages with information about the euro coins, which will include additional information such as the designer, the mintage, the composition, a d escription of the theme etc.
- June 24, 2007 - I sent out another newsletter in order to make sure that the collectors in the Coin Collectors Database have valid email addresses.
- June 23, 2007 - I updated quite a few pictures, replacing them with higher-resolution that depict the coins more accurately.
- June 20, 2007 - I completely rewrote the 3 articles about the history of the Greek coins.
- June 19, 2007 - I had to reset the rating for all the articles. This was unfortunate but since the code produced invalid clicks I had to do it.
- June 18, 2007 - Did I tell you guys I got a job with an IT company? I am now officially a software engineer (of the junior flavor). Moreover, I replaced the copy/paste code for rating the pages of the site, that did not actually work. It is a long story why the code was screwed up, but I found out what the problem was and fixed it. It doesn't look too good, but I will be updating it in the future, adding more bells and whistles.
- June 10, 2007 - I updated a few coin photos and added 3 more coin wallpapers.
- June 9, 2007 - The Presidential Dollar coin program started with a very nice error coin also know as Godless Dollar.
- June 8, 2007 - I don't have the money for a proper translation of the site, however I can certainly afford a machine-translation and I have included the proper code with therespective flags on the right pane of the site.
- May 27, 2007 - I completed a small article about the newly discovered ancient denareus which depictes Cleopatra as plain ugly. I also updated some 25 images of coins with higher resolution photos.
- April 27, 2007 - Long time no see, but the site is not dead yet. Far from it. I have been uploading new, high resolution images of several coins and I will be posting new articles very soon. I just migrated to Windows Vista and the transitional period is almost over. I just need to figure out a few quirks.
- March 18, 2007 - I uploaded quite a few high-resolution images of coins and I replaced the code for rating the webpages of the site. The new systems is based on stars and can be seen on the right.
