Obverse of Belgium Official Blister 2010
Details Celebrating UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Belgium. The sixth issue honours Bruges, the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO; it is egg-shaped and about 430 hectares in size.

The blister contains the 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cent coins and 1, 2 euros (unc), as well as a coloured, silver medallion which pays tribute to the historical city. They are housed within a full-colour coin folder and outer sleeve with images and detailed information on the UNESCO World Heritage site being honoured.

The Belgian euro coins feature only a single design for all eight coins: the portrait or effigy of King Albert II of Belgium and his royal monogram (a capital 'A' underneath a crown). Also part of the design by Jan Alfons Keustermans (Director of the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts of Turnhout) are the 12 stars of the EU and the year of imprint.

[The 50 cents and 1 euro coins of 2010 are only included in this BU set]
