|This Special Olympics Blister 2011 commemorates the XIII Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Athens. The collector's triptych contains a blister-sealed set of circulation coins (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cent coins and 1, 2 euro coins), as well as a commemorative 10 euros silver coin honoring the event.
The center of the coin shows the emblem of the Games, a radiant sun the source of life that underlines the excellence and power of the athlete that takes part in the Games. The reverse shows the Panathenaiko Stadium (kallimarmaro), a beautiful marble stadium where once stood the ancient stadium which is believed to have been built around 330 B.C and was used for the Panathinean games.
