The Official Blister 2006 is the fourth in the Heritage Sites and features the spectacular Glenveagh National Park and Castle, in Donegal. It contains the 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cent coins and 1, 2 euros.
The Glenveagh National Park is one of six national parks in Ireland. Situated in the Northwest of Co. Donegal, Glenveagh encompasses some 16,000 hectares in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains.
The Glenveagh Castle is a large castellated Mansion house built in the Scottish Baronial style within Glenveagh National Park. The castle was built between 1870 and 1873 and consists of a four storey rectangular keep surrounded by a garden. |
