The presidency of the Council rotates among the EU member states every six months. During this six-month period, the presidency chairs meetings at every level in the Council, helping to ensure the continuity of the EU''s work in the Council.The Latvian Presidency of the Council took place during the first half of 2015, taking over from Italy and passing it to Luxembourg.
The design shows the official logo of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It was designed by the artist Gunnar Lynx, based on the official logo designed for this event by Gunārs Lūsis, their modeling plaster was sculptor John Strupulis. |
